First off I want to say that I am happy that you are taking the time to read my blog. What I would like to address here is the question the many of my clients ask me when I am finished with the Inspection and I am going over my findings with them. Here it is, “WOULD YOU BUY THIS HOUSE” or “IS THIS A GOOD PRICE”.    You have to understand that as Home Inspectors, it is not our job to tell you if you should by the house or not.  It is our job to inform you of the conditions of the property inspected. Each person has particular skills and/or reasons for purchasing a property. You might be a contractor or a DIY person and see some vision with the property. That is not for us as Inspectors to determine for you.  I want potential clients to understand that whether you hire me or other Inspector that a Home Inspection is NOT a pass or fail type of Inspection. It merely outlines the conditions of the property so that you can make an informed decision on your purchase.
